Great ice cream and friendly staff. Popular S. Congress spot. I used to sing here often for the folks eating ice cream and waiting in line. They would Come get ice cream and a show! :) The employees were even nice enough to bring me an ice cream while I was singing and playing guitar. However since they put speakers outside and started piping their music outside through those speakers it killed this spot for a place to enjoy live music in the Live Music capital of the world. I had a 5 star review until this happened. 3 stars now. I left Austin shortly after this gig got killed by the speakers and management. I made half as much from then on because of the clashing music. Before that It was my best spot to perform and I usually played there a few times a week. It's too bad really. Others played here too and it was a perfect scenario where the artists enjoyed performing there and the patrons enjoyed the entertainment while waiting in line and eating their icecream.

Very nice ice cream. I am partial to their Mexican Vanilla, which is excellent. The brownie sundae is tasty. One star off for being pretty expensive. Expect at least a modest line, or a long line on a warm evening.

Best ice cream ever! An Austin classic! Very fun and funky vibes. I've been here dozens of times and loved every visit. Great service and super tasty ice cream with loads of choices! Their Mexican vanilla is a classic.

Very disappointed! May look fun and inviting from the outside, but no, it’s a tourist trap for the following reasons: only about 15 ice cream flavors total (most other homemade ice cream shops typically have 30+), ice cream itself when served was almost half melted in all honesty (never had such melted ice cream served before probably because they mixed in M&Ms on a warm table before serving), and overall the flavor of the ice cream was not that great (thin mint tasted like vanilla with crushed thin mint cookie). Importantly, the serving sizes are so small - tiny, small and large sizes are about 1/2 cup, cup and 1.5 cups for $4,$5, and $6, respectively. Not impressed :/
